Mesmorizing Brit: Henry Cavill

Photo: Vanity Fair

My fame? Truly I don’t consider myself famous…long way to go yet. But if anyone does ask for an autograph it’s a wonderful feeling…Henry Cavill

Yet another British import is destined for greatness in Hollywood.

Despite the dashing star’s modesty, I imagine that many are asking for Henry Cavill’s autograph these days.  Ruggedly handsome, talented, young. Yes, Cavill has everything going for him to keep Hollywood knocking for quite some time.

Born May 5, 1983, Cavill is just beginning his meteoric assent to super stardom.  And he has quite a head start!  Co-star in the hit series The Tudors, Cavill landed the juicy role of Charles Brandon, the First Duke of Suffolk and brother-in-law to King Henry VIII.  Whether providing strong brotherly comfort to the emotionally-needy Henry or bedding the steady stream of beautiful damsels in distress,  Cavill doesn’t disappoint.

Cavill studied drama at Stowe School in England before answering the call to show business.  In 2001, 18-year-old Cavill’s leading man good looks and acting ability landed him a small but solid role in The Count of Monte Cristo.    Strong supporting roles soon followed, including roles in films like Tristan & Isolde and the Showtime series, The Tudors. Dreaming in Style: The Men of Inception

Audiences are raving about Inception's cool-as-ice fashion designs

Christopher Nolan’s  Inception has captured our imaginations.  From the incredible special effects to the storyline’s razor sharp twists and turns, this dreamfest blockbuster richly deserves its 86 percent rating on rottentomatoes.com.

And the critics’ rave reviews don’t stop at the brilliant screen writing, superb acting and amazing cinematography.  Inception’s cool-as-ice clothing choices are getting  just as much buzz.

Inception’s costume designer Jeffrey Kurland, who also dressed the ensemble cast of Ocean’s Eleven, is the man responsible for the film’s sharp attire.

While both sexes looked outstanding in their Inception wear, people seem to be talking most about the “beautiful men in the beautiful suits,” particularly the three-piece suits of Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s character, Arthur.  In fact, in the wake of the film’s release, the Twittersphere was bursting with praise about those killer suits.

Inception's "Arthur" impresses in dapper three-piece suits.

On the red carpet promoting the film, the male star’s off-screen wardrobes  also dazzled. Crowds of admiring fans  flocked to the film’s premieres, anxiously waiting to  catch a glimpse of the handsome, stylish men of Inception. Read moreRead more

Bedroom Keys to Good Health

Not many would dispute the psychological benefits of a good sex life but research shows that sex is also good for your physical health. A loving physical and emotional relationship can add many health-filled years to your life. Here are just a few of the health benefits you’ll enjoy by partaking frequently in one of life’s greatest pleasures:

Stress Reliever. We live in a stress-filled world. Stress on the job. Stress on the roads. Stress everywhere. But you can leave that anxiety outside the bedroom and relax. Research shows that an active sex life reduces blood pressure. And studies reveal that those who have an active romp in the bedroom at least twice a week handle daily stress better than those who abstain.

Calorie Burner. You would be hard pressed to find many people these days that don’t want to lose a few pounds. So, instead of putting on your running shoes, why not take them off and jump into bed. Approximately 30 minutes of sex burns nearly 100 calories. For peak physical and psychological health, make sex part of your overall exercise regime!

Immunity Booster. Research suggests that sexual activity encourages the release of higher levels of an antibody called immunoglobulin A, which boosts your immune system and makes you less susceptible to colds and other infections.

Intimacy Enhancer. Sexual intimacy increases levels of the hormone oxytocin, often referred to as the “love hormone.” According to studies, this hormone helps human beings bond and build a trusting relationship. So it’s no surprise that the happiest couples are the ones who have an active, healthy sex life.

Pain Reducer. As oxytocin levels rise, pain-reducing endorphins increase. This acts as an effective pain reducer. If you see your headaches disappear and muscle pains diminish, thank those wonderful oxytocin levels.
